Martin St. Pierre Named Canadian All-Star

NORFOLK, VA - Today, the American Hockey League (AHL) announced that Norfolk Admirals' center Martin St. Pierre has been named to the Canadian All-Star Team for the 2006 Rbk AHL All-Star Classic, to be played at MTS Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba on February 1st.

St. Pierre, 22, is in his first season with Norfolk, and leads the team in scoring with 11 goals and 19 assists for 30 points. The Embrun, ON, native is currently sixth among AHL rookies in assists, and tied for 10th in points. He made his NHL debut with the Chicago Blackhawks on November 4th at Dallas, and has appeared in two games with Chicago, going scoreless.

The 2006 Rbk AHL All-Star Classic begins Tuesday, January 31st, with the 2006 CCM AHL All-Star Skills Competition at 7:00pm (CT). The annual All-Star Game follows at 7:00pm (CT) on Monday, February 1st, and will be televised live in the United States and Canada.
