Infograph: 2014 Second Round vs. Minnesota, Games 1-2 by the numbers

by Emerald Gao / Chicago Blackhawks

The Blackhawks wrapped up the first two games of their second-round series against Minnesota with a 5-2 win last Friday and a 4-1 win on Sunday afternoon, but neither result came as easily as the final score might have suggested. Chicago had to weather a furious comeback by the Wild in Game 1 as the visitors logged a 24-9 shot advantage in the final two periods and tied the game at 2-2, before Patrick Kane unleashed "Showtime" on the proceedings. Chicago carried another two-goal lead into the third period of Game 2, but played a better puck possession game to close out the 4-1 result. The Blackhawks Blog takes a look at the improvements in even-strength shot events between Games 1 and 2.
