Blackhawks General Manager Dale Tallon announced this afternoon that Martin Havlat underwent successful shoulder surgery today.
Havlat injured his shoulder in the season opener at Minnesota on October 4th and missed 22 games. After extensive rehab, he returned to the lineup on November 28th. Havlat re-injured his shoulder on February 27th versus Phoenix and it was determined surgery was needed to repair the shoulder for next season.
After undergoing successful surgery today, Havlat will undergo a rehab program during the off-season that should allow him to be ready in time for training camp in September.
