Chicago pushes point streak to five straight games in second extra-time defeat to Nashville in as many nights

The Blackhawks and Predators needed more than 60 minutes for the second straight night, with Chicago falling in their first shootout of the season, 2-1. 

Ryan Carpenter scored the lone goal for the Blackhawks on the night and Kevin Lankinen made 41 saves in the shootout defeat.

Chicago extends point streak to four straight games in extra-frame defeat

The Blackhawks pushed their point streak to four games on Tuesday night, but fell in overtime for the second straight road game, this time 3-2 to the Predators in Nashville. 

Dylan Strome and Mattias Janmark scored the goals on the night for the Blackhawks, while Malcolm Subban made 36 stops in the overtime defeat.

Chicago picks up the first win of the season in home opener at the United Center on Friday

Home was indeed sweet for Chicago on Friday night as the Blackhawks picked up thier first win of the season, 4-1, over the Detroit Red Wings. 

Patrick Kane, Calvin de Haan, Andrew Shaw and Mattias Janmark all tallied in the victory, and Kevin Lankinen earned a 30-save victory in his second career NHL start.

Chicago overcomes two-goal hole to force overtime, but falls in Florida on Tuesday night

The Blackhawks earned their first point of the season on Tuesday night, but ultimately fell to the Florida Panthers in overtime to close out their season-opening road trip, 5-4. 

Dominik Kubalik scored twice on the power play, Patrick Kane added his second of the season and Philipp Kurashev netted his first NHL goal in the loss. Kevin Lankinen made 23 saves in his NHL debut on the night in goal.

Chicago drops third game of season-opening road trip to Florida

The Blackhawks dropped their third game of the season-opening Florida trip on Sunday night, 5-2, to the Panthers, falling to 0-3-0 on the young season. 

Alex DeBrincat and Connor Murphy tallied for Chicago and Collin Delia made 24 saves in his second straight start in the loss.

Chicago pulled within one with a pair of quick second-period strikes, but fell to Tampa Bay on Friday night, 5-2

The Blackhawks fought back from a 3-0 hole in the second period, but ultimately fell on Friday night in Florida, 5-2, to the Tampa Bay Lightning. 

Alex DeBrincat and Patrick Kane scored the two tallies for the visitors and Collin Delia stopped 33 of 38 shots he faced in the defeat.

Dylan Strome scores late as Chicago drops season opener to Tampa Bay

The Blackhawks couldn't stop the reigning champions on Wednesday night as the Tampa Bay Lightning took a 5-1 win on opening night at Amalie Arena in Florida. 

Dylan Strome scored the lone goal on the night for Chicago and Malcolm Subban got the season's first start in goal, stopping 28 of the 33 shots he faced in the loss.
