Game notes: March 23 vs. Dallas Stars

LAST GAME
The Canucks defeated the Blackhawks 5-4 in overtime on Tuesday night at the United Center, snapping Chicago's five-game winning streak. The overtime result gave Chicago 100 points in the standings this year, the fourth consecutive year the team has reached that mark. Ryan Hartman (2), Marian Hossa and Richard Panik each registered goals for the Blackhawks. Corey Crawford allowed four goals on 10 shots before being replaced by Scott Darling in the third period. Darling made four saves and took the loss.
VS. STARS
Chicago holds a 136-102-31-3 all-time record against Dallas, including a 78- 41-15-0 mark at the United Center. Tonight's contest concludes the five-game regular-season series between the Central Division rivals. The Blackhawks own a 4-0-0 mark against the Stars this season, including victories on Nov. 5 (3-2), Nov. 6 (4-3 OT), Dec. 11 (3-1) and Feb. 4 (5-3). Crawford picked up his 202nd career NHL victory on Feb. 4 at Dallas, passing Ed Belfour for third in Blackhawks history.

CLINCHED
For the ninth consecutive season, the Blackhawks have clinched a spot in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. It marks the first time since 1989-97 that Chicago has made nine consecutive playoff appearances. It took the Blackhawks 72 games to clinch a playoff berth this season, which is the fewest number of contests it has taken to accomplish the feat in an 82- game regular season under Joel Quenneville. Since this run began in 2009, the Blackhawks have won three Stanley Cups (2010, 2013, 2015) and lead the NHL with 76 playoff victories.
20 GOAL CLUB
With a goal in Tuesday's game against Vancouver, Panik became the sixth Blackhawks player to reach the 20-goal mark this season. Jonathan Toews, Kane, Hossa and Anisimov have also reached the mark; the Blackhawks are the only team in the NHL with as many players over the 20-goal plateau. It is the first time since the 2009-10 season that Chicago's roster has featured six 20-goal scorers, a feat that has been accomplished 18 times in franchise history.
ONE-TIMERS
Hartman netted a power-play goal in the second period and added his second goal of the game in the third. It was his first power-play goal of the year. He ranks fifth among NHL rookies with 18 markers on the season ... Brent Seabrook collected an assist for the third straight game. He shares fifth among Western Conference blueliners with 33 this year ... Toews extended his point streak to six games (3G, 3A) with a helper. He also won 25 of 33 faceoffs, a season high.
THREE OPPONENTS TO WATCH
C Tyler Seguin: Seguin paces Dallas in points (68), assists (44) and shots on goal (264). He shares sixth in the NHL in assists and ranks 10th in points. He is one of just four skaters in the league to have recorded at least 50 points in each of his last four seasons. He has 17 points (4G, 13A) over his last 16 games.
D John Klingberg: A fifth-round pick in the 2010 NHL Draft, Klingberg ranks third on the club in assists (31) and power-play goals (4). He has earned 10 points (3G, 7A) over his last 12 games. The Sweden native has notched points (3A) in three straight games vs. the Blackhawks.
LW Patrick Sharp: The former Blackhawk logged a season-high seven shots on goal on Monday against San Jose. He ranks fourth in the Stars with 138 shots on goal despite only playing in 46 games this season. He is one point shy of recording 600 in his NHL career. After tallying against Chicago last season, Sharp has scored a goal against all 30 NHL clubs.
