The Red Wings defeated the Blackhawks 4-2 on Friday night at Joe Louis Arena, snapping Chicago's franchise-best eight-game road winning streak (Feb. 2-March 4). Chicago is now 7-3-0 against the Atlantic Division and 15-7-2 vs. the Eastern Conference. Artemi Panarin and Trevor van Riemsdyk each netted goals for the Blackhawks. Corey Crawford made 25 saves and holds a 26-15-3 record.
Chicago holds a 26-29-1-9 all-time record against Minnesota, including a 13-14- 1-3 mark at the United Center. Today's contest concludes the four-game regular-season series between the Central Division rivals. The Blackhawks own a 2-1-0 record against the Wild this year. The Blackhawks will wear one-of-a-kind green St. Patrick's Day warmup jerseys before today's matchup with Minnesota. Each warmup jersey will later be autographed and auctioned online, with all proceeds benefitting Chicago Blackhawks Charities. In conjunction with the NHL's Green Week, the Blackhawks will host an in-arena hockey and sport equipment collection at Section 113 during Sunday's game and at the 2017 Illinois State High School Hockey Championships on March 16. C Mikael Granlund: Granlund leads Minnesota in goals (22) and assists (40) and points. He recorded an assist on Tuesday to reach the 60-point mark, becoming the 10th player in franchise history to do so in a single season. He holds the longest point streak in the NHL this year with 17 points (5G, 12A) in 12 games from Jan. 12 to Feb. 4.
C Charlie Coyle: Coyle ranks third on the Wild in assists (31) this season. He recorded his 100th career helper on Friday vs. FLA. He has set career highs in points (46), assists, power-play goals (4), power-play points (7) and multi-point games (9) this season.
G Devan Dubnyk: Dubnyk shares the NHL lead in wins (36) this season, paces the league in save percentage (.932) and shares fifth in shutouts (5). He matched his career high in wins on Friday vs. FLA and now has the second-most wins in a single season in franchise history. Since his first game with the Wild on Jan. 15, 2015, he is 95-49-11.
