LAST GAME
The Blackhawks defeated the Panthers 3-2 in overtime Tuesday night at the United Center for their third consecutive victory. It is their first win streak of at least three games this year. Brandon Saad, Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane each tallied one goal in the victory. Corey Crawford made 35 saves. It was the 14th start this year that he allowed two or fewer goals. He is now 7-0-2 in his last nine starts.
VS. JETS
Chicago holds an 11-9-0-0 mark all-time against Winnipeg, including a 7-2-0-0 record on the road. The Blackhawks went 1-4-0 in five meetings against the Jets a season ago. Kane (1G, 4A) and Artemi Panarin (2G, 3A) shared the team lead with five points each in five games against Winnipeg. Kane (9G, 11A) leads the Blackhawks with 20 career points in 19 games against the Jets. Crawford has an 8-7-0 record against Winnipeg in his career.
REGARDING THE ROOKIE
Alex DeBrincat registered the first multi-assist (2A) game of his career Tuesday night against Florida. It was his fourth multi-point effort this year. The 19-year-old shares third among National Hockey League rookies with 23 points (12G, 11A) this season. He has one goal and three assists over his last four games.
TOEWS TURNS UP
Toews notched his fourth multi-point performance of the year with a goal and an assist Tuesday night. He had three points (1G, 2A) in the club's first meeting against the Panthers on Nov. 25. The Winnipeg native has posted six points (3G, 3A) over his last six games. He won 12 draws against Florida and is fifth in the league with 376 faceoff wins this year.
ONE-TIMERS
- Kane netted the game-winning goal in overtime against Florida. It was his first GWG this year and 50th of his career. He has three points (1G, 2A) in his last two games. He has 19 points (8G, 11A) in 17 career games vs. the Panthers.
- Saad recorded two points (1G, 1A) for his fourth multi-point effort of the 2017-18 campaign. It was his second game this season with a goal and an assist against the Panthers. He has seven markers and five helpers in 12 career games vs. Florida. During this season, 13 (8G, 5A) of his 17 points have come against Eastern Conference opponents.
- Artem Anisimov picked up his fourth assist of the season. It was his second straight game (1G, 1A) with a point.
