Fan Appreciation Night Thursday

The Chicago Blackhawks will show their appreciation to all their fans for their support this season on Thursday night when they host the Detroit Red Wings in the annual "United Fan Appreciation Night."

It will be the Blackhawks regular season home finale with prizes and surprises to lucky fans attending the game that evening.

Two lucky winners will receive a pair of tickets for anywhere in the world United Airlines flies. Additionally, 10 winners will receive a pair of tickets for travel in the 50 United States, Puerto Rico, U.S Virgin Islands, or Canada.

In a Blackhawks "United Fan Appreciation Night" tradition, some lucky fans will be invited to come down to the ice after the game for the annual "Shirt Off Your Back" exchange. Fans will be chosen at random to receive the player jerseys that have just been worn during the game against Detroit. Each Blackhawks player will present his game worn jersey to each lucky fan with a personal autograph.

In addition to their jerseys, Blackhawks players will also sign one of their own sticks that will be given to more lucky fans chosen at random during the course of the evening's festivities.

Blackhawks players will also sign their player banner which has been hanging at the entrances at Gates 2, 3, 6, and 7 throughout the course of the season. Lucky fans chosen at random will also be taking home a giant-sized banner of their favorite player.

Other lucky fans chosen at random will also be eligible to receive special Blackhawk "Gift Bags" throughout the course of the evening.

Blackhawks players Jim Vandermeer, Michal Handzus, and James Wisniewski will also be on hand to sign autographs prior to the game from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Section 119 of the main concourse.

That's Thursday night, April 5th, when the Blackhawks host the Detroit Red Wings in their regular season home finale at 7:30 p.m. at the United Center.
