Over 3,200 Fans Claim Tickets to Party in the Arena Bowl

The overwhelming demand by fans for tickets to the Chicago Blackhawks NHL Draft Party on Friday June 22 has resulted in an increase in the amount of tickets available for the event.

Over 3,200 tickets have been claimed for the event and seating will now be extended into the arena bowl on the south side of the arena in the 100 Level of the United Center. The Bud Select Brew Pub inside the United Center will also remain open for fans attending the event.

For the first time in team history, the Blackhawks hold the first overall pick in this year’s NHL Entry Draft and the excitement has taken the city by storm.

Tickets to the NHL Draft Party are free of charge and are available by going to For more information and to sign up for your NHL Draft Party tickets, log on to and click on the Draft Party link in the “Top Stories” section.

Fans in attendance will be able to watch the first round of the NHL Entry Draft on the United Center scoreboard. In addition, the NHL Draft Party will feature the unique opportunity for fans to speak via a LIVE video and audio feed to the Blackhawks top choice minutes after the selection has been made. Fans will also be able to ask questions of General Manager Dale Tallon who will also be made available during our LIVE Feed from Columbus.

The NHL Draft Party will begin at 5 p.m. and will give fans an insider look as the Blackhawks make the first overall selection in the Draft for the first time in club history.

A round table discussion will be hosted by Comcast SportsNet’s Dan Kelly and the Blackhawks Radio team of play-by-play announcer John Wiedeman and color analyst Troy Murray as they offer their expert insight on the first round selections and field questions from the fans in attendance.

Also in attendance and available to sign autographs for fans will be Blackhawks Head Coach Denis Savard and forward Jack Skille who was the Blackhawks 1st Round pick (7th overall) in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.

Fans attending the NHL Draft Party will have the chance to win the #1 draft pick’s autographed jersey, tickets to the Blackhawks home opener of the 2007-08 season and many other great prizes.
