1st Star: RW Alex DeBrincat, Erie Otters (OHL)
The Line: 3GP, 4G, 4A
After appearing in a few preseason games, DeBrincat-the Blackhawks' first pick in this summer's draft-was sent back to the Erie Otters last week, and he got off to a spectacular start with eight points in his first three games. DeBrincat tallied two goals and an assist on Oct. 6 against Niagara, added two assists the next night, and finished the weekend with another three points against Flint. The 18-year-old also compiled 13 shots on goal and won 19 of 39 faceoffs.
2nd Star: C/LW Graham Knott, Niagara IceDogs (OHL)
The Line: 2GP, 1G, 3A
Knott was sent back to the Ontario Hockey League at the same time as DeBrincat, and put up four points (1G, 3A) in two tilts last week. He notched a goal and an assist last Thursday against Erie before contributing a pair of helpers on Sunday against Sudbury. He added 6 SOG and won 22 of 40 faceoffs.
3rd Star: C Dylan Sikura, Northeastern (NCAA)
The Line: 2GP, 3A
Northeastern opened their season over the weekend with two games against Quinnipiac. Sikura, a 2014 sixth-round pick who posted 28 points in 39 games last year, picked up three helpers as the Huskies went 0-1-1. The junior center assisted on both of Northeastern's goals in a 2-2 tie on Friday and added his third of the season in a 5-2 loss on Saturday.

- Matthias From, a 2016 fifth-round selection, collected a pair of assists for Rogle's J20 team in a 6-5 loss to Frolunda on Sunday; he also appeared in two games for Rogle in the SHL last week ... Defenseman Joni Tuulola skated in three contests for HPK in the Finnish league and tallied his first goal of the season in a 4-1 win over TPS on Saturday.
- Sophomore forward Liam Coughlin helped the University of Vermont achieve a weekend split against Clarkson University, posting an assist in Saturday's 3-2 loss ... Matheson Iacopelli had a strong start to his sophomore campaign, accumulating 11 SOG in Western Michigan's series sweep over Ferris State last weekend; he scored his first goal of the season in a 2-1 win on Friday ... Jack Ramsey logged a helper in Minnesota's 6-0 win over Alaska-Anchorage to open the season.
- Defenseman Ryan Shea notched his first collegiate point with an assist in Northeastern's loss to Quinnipiac on Saturday ... Notre Dame sophomore Dennis Gilbert helped his team sweep Arizona State over the weekend, picking up his first point of the season (1A) in a 9-2 win on Saturday ... Boston University freshman Chad Krys was held off the scoresheet in the Terriers' 6-1 win over Colgate on Saturday, but tied the team lead with 5 SOG ... Blake Hillman picked up a power-play assist in the University of Denver's 3-2 loss to Ohio State last Friday in the Ice Breaker Tournament; he added two blocked shots in the tilt.
- Roy Radke had a big outing for the OHL's Barrie Colts last Saturday, tallying two goals and one assist, including the game-winner, in a 6-3 win over Kitchener; in three outings last week, he logged 7 SOG ... Nathan Noel contributed a pair of helpers for the QMJHL's Saint John Sea Dogs last Saturday in a 4-2 win over Quebec and now has five points in his first five games of the season.
