Curtis Brown To Assist "Go For The Goal"

Chicago Blackhawks forward Curtis Brown will greet Blackhawk fans and sign autographs at the Southwest Ice Arena on Sat., April 22 at 6:30 p.m.

Brown is appearing to assist the "Go for the Goal" event hosted by WMBI 90.1 FM. The event is intended to raise funds for scholarships for Hockey Ministries International's Summer Hockey Camp. The scholarships will be issued to needy players who otherwise would not be able to attend the camp.

Brown will sign autographs from 6:30 to approximately 7:20 in the lobby of Southwest Ice Arena located at 5505 W. 127th St. in Crestwood. After the autograph session, Brown will participate in the ceremonial opening faceoff for an exhibition game featuring Christian players from around the Chicagoland area

Brown recently completed his first season with the Chicago Blackhawks, playing in 71 games and scoring five goals with ten assists for 15 points. Brown blocked 77 shots during the 2005-06 season to lead all Blackhawk forwards.
