Comcast SportsNet To Air “Blackhawk Cup” State Championship Live Friday At 7 PM

In partnership with the Chicago Blackhawks, Comcast SportsNet will be airing the “2010 Blackhawk Cup” state championship featuring a battle between the top two teams in Illinois high school hockey -- St. Rita vs. Loyola -- on Friday, March 26 LIVE from the United Center at 7:00 PM.
Calling the action will be WGN AM 720 Blackhawks studio host Judd Sirott handling play-by-play, and Steve Konroyd, former Blackhawk standout and current Comcast SportsNet Blackhawks studio analyst, handling color analysis. In addition, Comcast SportsNet’s Jen Patterson will be the in-game reporter, providing her on-ice insight from between the teams’ benches.
St. Rita (46-9-7) upset defending “Blackhawk Cup” champion New Trier in the semifinals on Monday night, earning their first trip back to the state final since 1984. Loyola (28-22-5) defeated Marist in Monday’s other semifinal contest. Loyola hasn’t won the state title since winning back-to-back championships in 1995 and 1996.
