How have the Blackhawks been spending their offseason? chicagoblackhawks.com recently sat down with your favorite players to see how their summer has gone so far and discuss some of their aspirations for the 2012-23 NHL campaign.
What did you do this summer? Did you stay home or go on vacation?
I went back to Sweden, and so far I’ve been in Turkey for a week. After that, me and Stalberg went to the European Championships in soccer and watched Sweden and England play. That was a pretty fun experience, and now I’m here.
Did you hang out with or keep in touch with any other teammates besides Stalberg?
Not really. I talked to Kruger a little bit, that’s about it.
Are you trying to work on any particular skills or parts of your game?
Not really—I don’t like to be on the ice during the summer. I just want to keep my mind on hockey as much as I can. I've been in the gym working on my strength and quickness.
What’s your personal goal for next season?
Just to play a solid game and contribute more offensively, and take the team to the playoffs and go longer than the first round.
