Chicago battled back from a 2-0 first-period deficit en route to a 6-3 win on Saturday night in Ottawa to sweep the two-game season series against the Senators.
Jonathan Toews and Caleb Jones each scored twice on the night, with Sam Lafferty and Dylan Strome adding tallies as well. Marc-Andre Fleury made 20 stops in win No. 19 on the year.
Connor Murphy (upper body injury) left the game minutes into the opening frame after a boarding penalty by Parker Kelly. Murphy was stretchered off the ice, but remained at the arena under the supervision of the Chicago Blackhawks Medical Staff. Tyler Johnson (concussion protocol) was ruled out after the first period after taking a puck to the side of the head on the final shift of the frame.

1st - 3:18 - Connor Brown (Alex Formenton) -- SH

The Senators struck early while the Blackhawks were shorthanded as Alex Formenton picked off a pass at the point and went the other way with Connor Brown on a 2-on-1 rush. Formenton hit Brown with a pass in the neutral zone before Brown walked into the zone and put a writer past Marc-Andre Fleury for a 1-0 lead.

1st - 14:07 - Thomas Chabot

Ottawa doubled their lead on an individual effort from Thomas Chabot later in the opening frame. Chabot gloved down a clearing attempt off the glass in the Blackhawks end, walked towards the middle of the ice and put a slap shot off the elbow of the iron and in for a 2-0 score.

2nd - 0:58 - Jonathan Toews (Patrick Kane)

Early in the second, the captain got the Blackhawks on the board. Jonathan Toews won a puck back in the high slot of the offensive zone and slid a pass to Patrick Kane on the right-side dot before driving the weak-side post. Kane waited and then found Toews for a one-timer past Anton Forsberg and a 2-1 game.

2nd - 2:39 - Jonathan Toews (Patrick Kane, Erik Gustafsson) -- PP

The longtime leaders combined again on a man advantage just under two minutes later. Patrick Kane made his way up the wall from the corner and found Jonathan Toews in the high slot. The centerman took a step towards the net and wired a wrister through traffic for a 2-2 tie.

2nd - 9:07 - Caleb Jones (Seth Jones, Brandon Hagel)

The brothers Jones combined to give Chicago its first lead of the night nearly midway through the game. Off an extended period in the offensive zone, Seth Jones sent a D-to-D pass across to Caleb Jones the top of the circle. Caleb looked towards goal before picking his corner past Anton Forsberg for a 3-2 lead.

Ottawa pulled even again late in the frame as Nick Paul came in off the rush, pulled up and cut to the middle of the ice around Caleb Jones in the slot. All alone against Marc-Andre Fleury, Paul put a shot into the corner for a 3-3 game.

2nd - 15:49 - Sam Lafferty (Jake McCabe, Ryan Carpenter)

The tie lasted exactly eight seconds as Sam Lafferty walked into the zone off the ensuing faceoff, cut to the middle of the ice around a defenseman and wired a shot into the top corner for a 4-3 lead.

3rd - 8:55 - Caleb Jones (Kirby Dach, Jake McCabe)

Caleb Jones netted his first career multi-goal game with a slap shot in the third period to give Chicago a two-goal lead. His defensive partner Jake McCabe took the puck from end to end on a missed breakaway chance, but Kirby Dach picked up the missed chance and found the late-trailing Caleb Jones for a blast form the high slot and a 5-3 game.

3rd - 10:04 - Dylan Strome (Seth Jones, Patrick Kane)

Just over a minute later, Dylan Strome got a tip on a Seth Jones shot to make it a 6-3 game in the third. Patrick Kane worked it back to Seth Jones at the point for his third assist on the night.
