GAME RECAP

CHI: 0, COL: 1

2nd - 11:24 - Nazem Kadri (Gabriel Landeskog, Cale Makar) -- PP

After a back-and-forth opening half of the game, the Avs opened the scoring on the power play just past the midpoint of the second. Gabriel Landeskog tee'd Nazem Kadri up at the top of the circle for a one-timer that squeaked under the arm of Marc-Andre Fleury and dribbled over the goal line by mere inches before Calvin de Haan could get a stick on it to clear.

CHI: 0, COL: 2

3rd - 6:41 - Mikko Rantanen (Gabriel Landeskog, Devon Toews)

The Avs made it 2-0 in the third as Mikko Rantanen got behind the Blackhawks defense on the weak side of the play, where Gabriel Landeskog threaded a pass to the winger. Rantanen, alone in tight on Marc-Andre Fleury, patiently waited as the netminder sprawled to slide across the crease, then sent a backhander skyward into to top of the net.
