Artem Anisimov and Team Russia continued their high-scoring ways against Austria. For the second game in a row, Russia blanked their opponent 7-0.
Anisimov scored his second goal of the tournament at 11:42 of the first period to give the Russians and 2-0 lead. He also assisted on Mikhail Grigorenko's second period tally.
The Blackhawks forward finished the game +3 with two points and two shots on goal.
Russia (2-0-0) plays Belarus on Monday at 9:15 a.m. CT.
In a much closer game, Blackhawks defenseman Erik Gustafsson helped Team Sweden secure a 3-2 victory over the Czech Republic. Gustafsson recorded two shots on goal in 14:42 of ice time.
Sweden (2-0-0) next plays France on Monday at 1:15 p.m. CT.
For Tomas Jurco and Team Slovakia, Sunday was less celebratory as they lost 2-0 to Switzerland. Jurco finished -1 in 17:50 of ice time.
Slovakia (0-1-1) plays Austria on Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. CT.
