The Blackhawks have officially opened their 2018 Training Camp at MB Ice Arena. The team took to the ice without goaltender Corey Crawford, who skated earlier this morning. Crawford spoke with the media and we have full coverage below.

In addition, the Blackhawks announced that defenseman Connor Murphy will miss approximately eight weeks with a back injury. Defenseman Brent Seabrook will miss approximately one week with an abdominal injury. Gustav Forsling continues to recover from surgery on his right wrist and remains out of the lineup.

On day one, 2017 first-round pick Henri Jokiharju was paired with Duncan Keith. In addition, free-agent signing Chris Kunitz was with Jonathan Toews and Alex DeBrincat. Brandon Saad and Patrick Kane were centered by Nick Schmaltz.
