Fire meets ice. Soccer meets hockey. Spainiard meets Englishman.
At Saturday's game against the Winnipeg Jets, the newest member of the Chicago Fire, midfielder Alvaro Medran, was on hand and met fellow-footy fan Brendan Perlini in the Blackhawks locker room after.
Medran, who came up through the revered Real Madrid youth system, signed with the Fire on Oct. 10. Just two days earlier, the club officially announced its move back to the city and Soldier Field beginning next Spring. Count Perlini among those excited by the news.
Welcome to Chicago, Alvaro!
