BLOG: Perlini and Seabrook reunited a decade later

The two met years ago at a tournament in Chicago and are now teammates on the Blackhawks

Take a look at this #FlashbackFriday. A young Brendan Perlini (far right), age 13-14, played in a tournament in Chicago and had the opportunity to meet Blackhawks defenseman Brent Seabrook (second from the left).

The two are now teammates with Seabrook, 33, playing in his 14th NHL season. Seabrook has played more than 1,000 games in the league. Perlini, 22, is in his first season with the Blackhawks, third overall in the league. Perlini's family dug up the old photo of the now teammates.

It's not the only small-world connection we've seen involving Seabrook this season. When Jeremy Colliton took over as head coach of Chicago it was discovered that Seabrook and his new bench boss had played summer hockey together when they were 11 and then played together at World Juniors in the early 2000s.

Small world.
