Blackhawks defensive prospect Henri Jokiharju and young goaltender Kevin Lankinen were named to Finland's roster for the 2019 IIHF World Championship. The tournament takes place May 10-26 in Slovakia.
Jokiharju split time between the Blackhawks and the American Hockey League this past season. In 38 games for Chicago, the blueliner recorded 12 assists. In 30 games for the Rockford IceHogs, he compiled two goals and 15 assists.
Lankinen went 7-8-4 between the pipes for Rockford in his first North American season. He recorded a 2.50 GAA and .910 save percentage in those games.
In addition, one of the top prospects in the upcoming NHL Draft, Kaapo Kakko, will suit up for Team Finland.
