Luke Johnson isn't content with the fact that he's still in Training Camp with the Blackhawks. He wants to stick even longer.
Johnson, who is tied with Dominik Kahun for the team lead in scoring with a goal and a pair of assists through two preseason games, was on a line with Chris Kunitz and Brandon Saad on Monday morning.
"It feels pretty good, but camp is not over yet," Johnson said. "Every day I come in with the mindset of working as hard as I can and being consistent. I'm pretty confident in the way I play the game. I think if I continue to work hard and just come in with the mindset that I'm going to make the team every day then I think things will go well for me."
Every practice and every game is just another opportunity for the 24-year-old forward to showcase what his game is all about.
"Just moving my feet, playing with speed, finishing my checks, playing good defensively," he said. "Just doing all the little things right, being smart out there and just competing in every aspect of the game."
