Barratt joins group of Blackhawks named to preliminary rosters for the 2019 World Junior Championships

Blackhawks prospect Evan Barratt was named to Team USA's preliminary roster for the 2019 World Junior Championship.

Barratt was taken in the third round of the 2017 NHL Draft.

The center has compiled 12 goals and 15 assists for a total of 25 points in 15 games for Penn State this season. He's currently tied for the team lead in points and owns the lead for goals.

Barratt joins Adam Boqvist (Sweden), Nicolas Beaudin (Canada), Ian Mitchell (Canada), MacKenzie Entwistle (Canada), and Jakub Galvas (Czech) as the Blackhawks prospects currently named to rosters.

The 2019 World Junior Championships will begin on Dec. 26, and end on Jan. 5, 2019 in Vancouver and Victoria, B.C.
