The Chicago Blackhawks have been honored with Emmy Awards from the Chicago/Midwest Chapter of the NationalAcademy of Television Arts & Sciences for their “One Goal” ads featuring Head Coach Joel Quenneville and defenseman Niklas Hjalmarsson
, and for the “Blackhawks TV” television program. The award winners were announced on Saturday evening at Park West in Chicago.
The Blackhawks won Emmy Awards in the following categories:
- Category 13-c Outstanding Achievement for Sports Programs - Sports Program Series Covering Sports of Based on a Sports Theme
- Category 16-a Outstanding Achievement for Announcements/Campaigns - Single Commercial Announcement or Campaign - Short Form
- “Chicago Blackhawks: One Goal”
Located on chicagoblackhawks.com, Blackhawks TV received over 11.2 million video views last season, most in the National Hockey League. The television debut of Blackhawks TV December 25 while the second and third episodes of the 30-minute program aired on February 14 and March 28.
