Blackhawks TV makes season debut on Christmas Night on Comcast SportsNet

** PROGRAMMING NOTE - Blackhawks TV will re-air on Tuesday, Dec. 28 after the Blackhawks at Blues at 11 p.m., and on Friday, Dec. 31 at 8 p.m. **

In conjunction with broadcast partner Comcast SportsNet, the Chicago Blackhawks announced today the 2010-11 season debut of the Emmy-Award winning Blackhawks TV, an all-access thirty-minute television show that includes a variety of segments highlighting the players’ personalities off the ice. The second-season debut can be seen on Comcast SportsNet on Christmas Night, December 25, at 7:00 P.M.

The episode debuts brand new, exclusive footage never before seen on TV or, including a segment on Norris Trophy-winning defenseman Duncan Keith and his dog, the return of “Joey The Junior Reporter” to the Blackhawks locker room, a segment on Patrick Kane’s dancing abilities, a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of the Blackhawks’ 2010 Stanley Cup Championship ring and more.

The television debut of Blackhawks TV ran on Comcast SportsNet on December 25, 2009, one of four original episodes that ran during the 2009-10 Stanley Cup Championship season. Blackhawks TV earned an Emmy Award from the Chicago/Midwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in November in Category 13-c: Outstanding Achievement for Sports Programs - Sports Program Series Covering Sports of Based on a Sports Theme.

Also located on, Blackhawks TV led the National Hockey League during the 2009-10 season with more than 12 million video starts. The upcoming December 25 episode will be available on immediately after it debuts on Comcast Sportsnet.
