Blackhawks' Tommy Hawk To Deliver Children's Books To Talman Elementary School Today

Who/What: Chicago Blackhawks Mascot Tommy Hawk will be dropping off nearly 1,000 children’s books at Talman Elementary School.

When: Mon., Nov. 24, from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M.

Where: Talman Elementary School, 5450 S. Talman Ave. in Chicago

Event Information:

Tommy Hawk will be bringing the students of Talman Elementary School new and gently-used children’s books the Blackhawks collected at home games, local rinks and participating Huntington Learning Centers during the month of November. The Blackhawks accrued the books to support Book Worm Angles, a non-for-profit organization founded in 1999 to help children achieve proficiency in and a love for reading. The literacy program has created in-classroom libraries in 143 Chicago Public Schools.
