The Chicago Blackhawks will wear special camouflage jerseys during warm-ups on Wednesday, November 10, before hosting the Phoenix Coyotes at the United Center at 7:30 P.M., as part of the Blackhawks/Boeing “Salute to the Military.” This marks the second consecutive year the Blackhawks will wear the jerseys in support of the USO of Illinois and those that serve or have served in the military.
These one-of-a-kind jerseys will be autographed by the player that sports them and auctioned online at chicagoblackhawks.com between November 8 and 17, with all proceeds benefitting the USO of Illinois. The Blackhawks and Boeing are also hosting several military members and their guests at the game as part of the “Salute to Military” program. Several Blackhawks season ticketholders and other fans donated their tickets to allow these military members and their guests the opportunity to attend Wednesday’s tilt.
“The USO is honored to share in the patriotic support for our nation's service members and veterans, shown steadfastly again this year through our partners at the Chicago Blackhawks and Boeing,” said USO of Illinois President and COO Anthony Enrietto Jr. “It is through such support that USO of Illinois is able to consistently deliver its programs and services to so many military and military family members, especially during this holiday season. One of the most immediate ways to show your support is to participate in this year's jersey auction.”
