Blackhawks take "Ice Bucket Challenge" for ALS

by Brad Boron / Chicago Blackhawks

It may be the dog days of summer, but the Blackhawks are feeling very chilly after several members of the team took the "Ice Bucket Challenge" to raise awareness for ALS. The challenge asks celebrities, athletes and social media influencers to film themselves being doused with icy water, post it to social media and ask their friends to do the same. Those who refuse are asked to donate money to help fight ALS.

Patrick Kane, nominated by former NHL star Bill Guerin, took the challenge and tweeted out the video later. He was joined by Andrew Shaw, Brandon Saad and even Head Coach Joel Quenneville.
