Blackhawks statement on Mark Osiecki

by Chicago Blackhawks / Chicago Blackhawks

Chicago Blackhawks Senior Vice President/General Manager Stan Bowman released the following statement on Wednesday regarding Rockford IceHogs Associate Coach Mark Osiecki’s (oh-SEE-kee) departure from the organization to become an associate coach with the University of Wisconsin:

“On behalf of the entire organization, I’d like to wish Mark all the best with the Wisconsin Badgers. Over the past three seasons, Mark’s dedication to developing our prospects in Rockford has resulted in numerous players making their National Hockey League debuts and contributing to the Blackhawks’ continued success, in addition to leading the IceHogs to the Calder Cup Playoffs last year and keeping the team on pace to make their second straight postseason appearance.”

Osiecki was originally named an assistant coach for the IceHogs on July 9, 2013, before being promoted to associate coach on July 1, 2014.
