Blackhawks recall Stanton from Rockford

The Chicago Blackhawks have recalled defenseman Ryan Stanton from the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.

Stanton, 23, recorded 25 points (3G, 22A) in 73 games this season with Rockford. The St. Albert, Alberta, native set a career high in assists and ranked third on the team with a plus-16 rating. Stanton, who was signed by Chicago as a free agent on March 12, 2010, registered a career-high four-game point streak (2G, 3A) from March 30 to April 6.

Prior to his professional career, Stanton tallied 102 points (19G, 83A) in 242 career Western Hockey League games with the Moose Jaw Warriors from 2005 to 2010.
