The Chicago Blackhawks have recalled forwards Jeremy Morin and Rob Klinkhammer from the American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs, and placed forward Marian Hossa on Injured Reserve.
Morin, 19, has registered one assist, a +2 plus/minus rating and six shots on goal in five games with Chicago this season. He also leads Rockford with six goals, including a team-high four power-play markers, and shares third with nine points (6G, 3A) in 17 AHL tilts in his professional debut.
Klinkhammer, 24, shares third on the IceHogs with nine points (3G, 6A) in 20 contests this season and ranks fourth on the club with a +1 plus/minus rating. The Lethbridge, Alberta, native has registered 40 goals and 49 assists in 234 regular-season games over the course of four AHL seasons with Rockford (2008-10) and the Norfolk Admirals (2007-08). He will wear #59 with the Blackhawks.
Hossa, 31, ranks fourth on the Blackhawks this season with eight goals, and fourth with 18 points (8G, 10A) in 21 tilts this season in his second campaign with Chicago. The Blackhawks will host the Dallas Stars at the United Center on Wednesday, December 8 at 7:30 P.M. The game can be seen locally on CSN+ and heard on 720 WGN.
