Blackhawks recall Jeremy Morin from Rockford

The Chicago Blackhawks have recalled forward Jeremy Morin from the American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs.

Morin, 20, has tallied 15 points (5G, 10A) in 22 contests with Rockford this season, including nine points (G, 8A) over his last nine games. The Auburn, New York, native registered three points (2G, A) and a +2 plus/minus rating in nine tilts with Chicago during the 2010-11 campaign in his first season in the Blackhawks organization. Originally acquired in a trade with the Atlanta Thrashers on June 24, 2010, Morin captured a gold medal as a member of Team USA at the 2010 World Junior Championships and a bronze medal at the 2011 World Junior Championships.

The Blackhawks will host the Calgary Flames at the United Center on Sunday, Dec. 18 at 6:00 p.m. CT. The game will be broadcast locally on WGN-TV Channel 9 and can be heard on WGN Radio AM-720.
