The Chicago Blackhawks announced today they have recalled forward Vincent Hinostroza from the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League and assigned forward Kyle Baun to Rockford.
Hinostroza, a native of Bartlett, Ill., has registered one assist in two games with the IceHogs this season; he made his professional debut with Rockford last year, collecting two assists in five contests. The 21-year-old recorded 76 points (19G, 57A) and a +11 plus/minus rating in 76 games with the University of Notre Dame across two seasons (2013-15). He was named a 2015 First-Team All-Hockey East selection after his sophomore campaign last year. Hinostroza was drafted by Chicago in the sixth round (169th overall) of the 2012 National Hockey League Draft.
Baun, 23, posted one shot on goal in two games with the Blackhawks this season. He made his professional debut last year when he appeared in three regular-season games with Chicago.
