In three seasons at Boston College prior to signing with the Blackhawks, the Dorchester, Massachusetts, native posted 42 goals and 39 assists in 117 collegiate tilts, and helped lead the Eagles to the 2010 NCAA championship.

Pirri, 20, has registered two assists and a +3 rating in four contests with the Blackhawks this year and paced Chicago with four goals and five points in four games during the 2011 preseason. The Toronto native also leads the IceHogs with 13 goals, 31 points and a +6 plus/minus rating in 28 AHL tilts.

The Blackhawks will host the Detroit Red Wings at the United Center on Friday, Dec. 30 at 7:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast on Comcast SportsNet Chicago and can be heard on WGN Radio AM-720.
