The Chicago Blackhawks announced today they have recalled forward Ryan Hartman from the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.

Hartman, a West Dundee, Ill., native, has tallied five points (3G, 2A) over eight games with the IceHogs this season; his three goals rank second on the team. The 21-year-old has notched two penalty minutes over five career National Hockey League games, all with Chicago last season. He has totaled 49 points (19G, 30A) through 86 career AHL games over the past three seasons, all with Rockford. Hartman was the Blackhawks’ first-round pick (30th overall) in the 2013 NHL Draft.

The Blackhawks return to action tonight against the Minnesota Wild at the Xcel Energy Center at 7:00 p.m. The game can be seen on Comcast SportsNet Plus and heard on WGN Radio AM-720.
