Blackhawks recall goaltender Mac Carruth

Carruth, 22, has split the season between the IceHogs, and the ECHL’s Toledo Walleye and Florida Everblades. He posted a 2-2-1 record with a 3.36 goals-against average and a .880 save percentage in seven games with Rockford. Carruth also earned an 8-15-0 mark, with one shutout, a 3.36 GAA and a .898 save percentage in 25 appearances with Toledo and a 2-4-1 record with a 3.45 GAA and a .874 save percentage in seven games with Florida.
Prior to his professional career, the Salt Lake City, Utah, native posted a 117-46-6 record, with 11 shutouts, a 2.84 GAA and a .910 save percentage over four seasons with the Western Hockey League’s Portland Winterhawks from 2009 to 2013. Carruth was named a WHL West First-Team All-Star following the 2012-13 campaign, while helping the Winterhawks to a WHL championship and a berth in the Memorial Cup Tournament.
Carruth was selected by the Blackhawks in the seventh round, 191st overall, of the 2010 National Hockey League Entry Draft.
