The Chicago Blackhawks announced today that they have recalled defenseman Gustav Forsling from the American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs and placed defenseman Michal Rozsival on injured reserve, retroactive to Jan. 25.
Forsling has registered one goal and three assists in 32 games with Chicago this season. The 20-year-old made his NHL debut on Oct. 12 vs. St. Louis and notched his first career NHL goal on Nov. 13 vs. Montreal. He has posted five points (1G, 4A) in 11 games with the IceHogs.
Rozsival, 38, has registered one assist in 18 games this season. He has appeared in 199 games with the Blackhawks over the past five seasons, notching three goals and 44 assists.
The Blackhawks return to action on Tuesday, Jan. 31 against the San Jose Sharks at the SAP Center at 9:30 p.m. (CT). The game can be seen on CSN, streamed live online at CSNChicago.com (CSNChicago.com/BlackhawksStream) and the NBC Sports App, and heard on WGN Radio.
