Blackhawks recall Darling, assign Raanta

The Chicago Blackhawks announced today that they have recalled goaltender Scott Darling from the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League and assigned goaltender Antti Raanta to Rockford.

Darling, 25, has posted a 5-1-0 record in six games with the IceHogs; he ranks fifth in the AHL with a 1.79 goals-against average and sixth with a .939 save percentage. The Lemont, Ill., native posted a 2-1-0 record with a .933 SV% and a 1.98 GAA in three games with Chicago this season. He made his National Hockey League debut with the Blackhawks on Oct. 26 vs. Ottawa, turning aside 31 of 32 shots on goal for his first career win.


Raanta, 25, has registered a 1-2-0 mark, including one shutout, a .933 SV% and 2.63 GAA in three games with Chicago this season.

The Blackhawks return to action on Sunday when they host the Dallas Stars at the United Center. Puck drop is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT and the game can be seen on WGN-TV and heard on WGN Radio AM-720 (also simulcast on 87.7FM The Game).
