The Chicago Blackhawks announced today they have recalled forward Phillip Danault from the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.
Danault, 22, has registered two points (1G, 1A) in six games with Rockford this season. The Victoriaville, Quebec, native appeared in two games with Chicago last year, including his National Hockey League debut on Nov. 22 at Edmonton; he also recorded 38 points (13G, 25A) in 70 regular-season games and five points (3G, 2A) in eight postseason appearances with Rockford. Danault has tallied 68 points (20G, 48A) in 160 regular-season games with the IceHogs. He was one of Chicago’s first-round selections (26th overall) in the 2011 NHL Draft.
The Blackhawks return to action on Saturday, Dec. 19, when they matchup against the Buffalo Sabres at 12 p.m. CT. The game can be seen on WGN-TV and heard on WGN Radio AM-720.
