Blackhawks reassign Hinostroza to Rockford

The Chicago Blackhawks announced today they have reassigned forward Vince Hinostroza to the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.

Hinostroza, a native of Bartlett, Ill., has tallied two penalty minutes over four games with the Blackhawks this season, including his National Hockey League debut on Oct. 17 vs. CBJ. The 21-year old has also recorded one assist in two games with Rockford this year. Hinostroza registered 76 points (19G, 57A) and a +11 plus/minus rating in 76 games with the University of Notre Dame across two seasons (2013-15). He was drafted by Chicago in the sixth round (169th overall) of the 2012 NHL Draft.

The Blackhawks return to action on Thursday against the Winnipeg Jets at the MTS Centre at 7:00 p.m. The game can be seen on Comcast SportsNet and heard on WGN Radio AM-720.
