The Chicago Blackhawks announced today they have reassigned forward Ryan Hartman to the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.

Hartman, a West Dundee, Ill., native, has recorded one assist in three games with Chicago and five points (3G, 2A) over eight games with Rockford this season. The 21-year-old has notched one assist and two penalty minutes over eight career National Hockey League games since he made his debut with Chicago last season. He has totaled 49 points (19G, 30A) through 86 career AHL games over the past three seasons, all with Rockford. Hartman was the Blackhawks’ first-round pick (30th overall) in the 2013 NHL Draft.

The Blackhawks return to action on Friday against the New Jersey Devils at the Prudential Center at 6:00 p.m. The game can be seen on Comcast SportsNet and heard on WGN Radio AM-720.
