The Chicago Blackhawks have reassigned center Jake Dowell to the American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs.
Dowell, 24, was held scoreless in 7:26 of action on Saturday in the Blackhawks’ 2-0 win over the Nashville Predators during his season debut with the club. The Eau Claire, Wisconsin, native leads Rockford with six assists and ranks second with seven points in eight games this season.
The Blackhawks (6-3-1) host the Minnesota Wild at the United Center on Monday at 7:00 P.M. The game can be seen locally on VERSUS and heard on Chicago’s WGN Radio 720. Monday marks the Blackhawks third of an NHL-high nine national appearances during the 2009-10 regular season.
