The Chicago Blackhawks announced today they have reassigned goaltender Scott Darling to the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.
Darling, 25, appeared in seven games with Chicago, posting a 5-2-0 record, .937 save percentage and 1.97 goals-against average. The Lemont, Ill., native made his National Hockey League debut with the Blackhawks on Oct. 26 vs. Ottawa, turning aside 31 of 32 shots on goal for his first career win. He has an 8-2-1 record with a .929 SV% and 2.05 GAA in 11 games with Rockford this season.
The Blackhawks return to action on Saturday, Dec. 20, when they face off against the Columbus Blue Jackets at Nationwide Arena at 6 p.m. CT. The game can be seen on WGN-TV and heard on WGN Radio AM-720.
