The Chicago Blackhawks announced today that they have reassigned forward Phillip Danault (duh-NOH) to the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.
Danault, 21, skated in two games with Chicago, including his National Hockey League debut in Edmonton on Saturday night. He previously recorded 10 points (3G, 7A) in 14 games with Rockford this season. Danault was one of Chicago’s first-round selections (26th overall) in the 2011 NHL Draft.
The Blackhawks return to action on Wednesday when they take on the Colorado Avalanche at 8 p.m. CT. The game can be seen on Comcast SportsNet and heard on WGN Radio AM-720.
