In conjunction with the National Hockey League and NBC, the Chicago Blackhawks announced today that their March 13 game against the Washington Capitals at the Verizon Center will be televised nationally on NBC. To accommodate the broadcast, the game time has been moved up to 11:30 A.M. (CT).
The game will mark the only meeting of the 2010-11 regular-season between the Blackhawks and Capitals, and their first matchup since March 14, 2010 at the United Center, a game that was also broadcast nationwide on NBC.
March 13 will be Chicago’s third national broadcast on NBC this season. The Blackhawks faced off against the Philadelphia Flyers in a Stanley Cup Final rematch in the 2011 debut of the network’s Game Of The Week series on January 23, and met the Pittsburgh Penguins on February 20 in a tilt between the last two Stanley Cup winners.
The Blackhawks will meet the Nashville Predators at Bridgestone Arena tonight at 7:00 P.M. The game can be seen locally on Comcast SportsNet Chicago and heard on 720 WGN.
