The Chicago Blackhawks are inviting all fans to join forwards Andrew Desjardins, Andrew Shaw and Dale Weise in the National Hockey League’s annual Beard-a-Thon during the 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs. All proceeds raised will benefit Chicago Blackhawks Charities. Fans can enroll today or donate to the beard of their choice via www.beardathon.com/blackhawks.
By joining the Blackhawks’ Beard-a-Thon, fans pledge to maintain their beard as long as the team remains in the playoffs. Fans who are unwilling or unable to grow playoffs beards can also pledge their beard grower. Donors and growers are both eligible for prize incentives. For more information on prizes and contest rules, please visit www.chicagoblackhawks.com/beardathon.
First place overall will win four tickets to a 2016-17 Blackhawks regular-season home game with a postgame meet and greet. Second place will win a team-signed jersey, while third place will win a team-signed stick and a jersey signed by a current Chicago Blackhawks team member.
The fan who has raised the most money during the First Round (April 13 through 4 p.m. on April 26) will win a memorabilia stick autographed by a player of their choice.
Since the Beard-a-Thon launched in 2009, hockey fans across the country have raised over $3.5 million for hockey-related charities.
