On comparing prospects to current Blackhawks:
We will remind our current prospects of different Blackhawks players and how they got to where they are. For example, with our goaltender you might remind him that Corey Crawford spent five years in the American Hockey League, or with a forward you might remind him that Bryan Bickell spent four years in the American Hockey League. Every player matures and develops at a different pace and you have to look at each player, find out what their maturity level is, how they are developing, and how hard they work each day. We work with each player on a daily basis and we have a great development staff that works with each player. We are trying to expedite that development process.
On what Teuvo Teravainen has to do to stay in Chicago:
Teuvo just has to continue to get stronger and show that confidence game in and game out and play with confidence and show consistency. He has to show the coaches and demonstrate that he can be counted on a night-to-night basis, to be a responsible player in the National Hockey League. He has the skill set, he thinks the game at a high level, and has great vision. Each night he has to go out and impress the coaches and give them a reason why he wants to stay.
