General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the Blackhawks have assigned defensemen Cam Barker and Dustin Byfuglien along with forwards Adam Burish and Craig Mac Donald to the Norfolk Admirals in the AHL. All four are expected to be in the lineup today when Norfolk travels to Philadelphia to take on the Phantoms.
Barker had been recalled by the Blackhawks on January 14th and had appeared in four games scoring his first career NHL goal, a power play tally, on January 14th against the Minnesota Wild. Barker also had four penalty minutes.
Byfuglien was recalled on January 6th and had appeared in six games for the Blackhawks posting two assists and four penalty minutes.
Adam Burish was recalled on January 9th and had appeared in three games for the Blackhawks with two penalty minutes. He also missed three games with an elbow infection which he suffered from a hit against Buffalo on January 10th. Burish began the season with the Blackhawks and has appeared in nine games this season with two penalty minutes.
Craig Mac Donald was also recalled on January 9th and had appeared in five games for the Blackhawks scoring two goals including one last night at Nashville against the Predators. Mac Donald had been a recall earlier this season and has played in 17 games for the Blackhawks this season with two goals and three points with 12 penalty minutes.
