Blackhawks Assign Craig MacDonald

Blackhawks General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that forward Craig MacDonald has been assigned to the Norfolk Admirals in the AHL.

MacDonald has appeared in 23 games for the Blackhawks this season scoring three goals while adding two assists for five points with 12 penalty minutes.

MacDonald appeared in his first game as a Blackhawk back on October 30th at Philadelphia. He picked up his first point as a Blackhawk on November 16th at Phoenix when he recorded an assist. He scored his first goal as a Blackhawk on January 13th at Detroit. He has also scored one of the Blackhawks eight shorthanded goals this season accomplishing that feat on February 14th at Pittsburgh.

Defenseman Jassen Cullimore has been placed on injured reserved after breaking a finger in last Sunday's game against the Rangers in New York.

Cullimore has appeared in 43 games for the Blackhawks this season scoring one goal and adding five assists for six points with 50 penalty minutes.
