by Chicago Blackhawks / Chicago Blackhawks

The Chicago Blackhawks today announced the release of the book One Goal Achieved: The Inside Story of the 2010 Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks, which will be available at Chicago retailers by Tuesday, Nov. 23.

Published by the Blackhawks and distributed by Triumph Books, One Goal Achieved is a comprehensive and exclusive look back at the Blackhawks 2009-10 season that ended Chicago’s 49-year Stanley Cup Championship drought. The chronicle includes recounts of the moments that defined the campaign from team front office personnel, broadcasters and beat writers. In addition, the book features a foreword by Blackhawks Team President John McDonough, a preface by Chairman Rocky Wirtz and an afterword by Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley.  Also included in the one-of-a-kind book are never-before-released photos that take you on tour with the Stanley Cup, from the plane ride home from Philadelphia to a Jimmy Buffett concert, the Illinois State Capitol Building to the players’ hometowns and more.

Added bonuses to the book include a DVD that features behind-the-scenes footage of the locker room celebration in Philadelphia, the Stanley Cup parade and rally, select players days with the Stanley Cup in their hometowns and an inside look at team bonding throughout the regular season and playoffs. A Stanley Cup Final replica ticket to Game 1 at the United Center, a hardware booklet showcasing the team and individual honors collected in 2010 and a Jonathan Toews Scouting Report from the 2006 Draft are also among the additions to the book.

In conjunction with the release, current Blackhawks players and ambassadors such as Tony Esposito, Stan Mikita and Denis Savard will make appearances to sign copies. Click here to see a full schedule of signings.

Starting Nov. 23, fans can purchase the book at several locations, including Borders, Barnes and Noble, Jewel, Dominicks, Meijer, the Blackhawks Store (325 N. Michigan Ave and the United Center) and the Blackhawks Store Kiosk at Woodfield Mall, or by visiting
