Blackhawks General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the Blackhawks have acquired right winger Radim Vrbata from the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for future considerations.
"Offense has been a bit of a struggle with the injuries we've had," said Tallon. "Vrbata has good skating ability and will add more skill to our lineup."
Vrbata, 24, stands at 6.01 and weighs in at 190 pounds. He played part of the next season in Colorado before being traded to Carolina in exchange for Bates Battaglia.
